He has performed deeds countless times more severe – the current estimate of fatalities from his cuts to international aid amounts to 600,000 and growing, and recently an analysis projected his energy policies would kill an additional 1.3 million. However nothing as distinctive. No former leader would have dared – genuinely, no previous leader would have contemplated – independently wrecking significant portions of the White House to build a royal-themed celebration hall, with the direct cooperation of some of America's wealthiest, the majority of whom conduct transactions with the government.

As disorienting as it is to watch the president seek to颠覆 the traditional concept about democracy and exchange it with its direct contrary, there is one large group of Americans who wouldn't consider it totally unfamiliar. That encompasses people such as ourselves – in older age cohorts almost a majority – who were educated as conventional Protestant believers.
We have watched over the years as rightwing evangelical churches transformed the Christ we grew up with into the complete reverse of who we understood him to be. At its most basic, they transformed an image of compassion into a symbol of hate who endorses precisely the cruelties that he denounced in biblical teachings; this has happened at a slower pace, across decades rather than months, yet it remains unsettling through similar means, a disorienting gut punch for numerous individuals.
A Damaging Christianity Gains Ground
Hence I shall explain the Savior from my upbringing, since in theory Christ is the focus of any Christian faith, and given that the rapidly expanding group among Americans might have little sense regarding him because they identify as non-believers or uncertain individuals or religiously unaffiliated. During the 1950s it was contained by dilution – Protestantism was so prevalent that it practically sanctified existing conditions.
A Conflict for the Best Among Us
Therefore I have felt inspired to observe the steadfast resistance against Trump develop over the last twelve months. It has provided substantial consolation to assist in constructing the campaign that has protested openly via continuous gatherings, and appears to have motivated voters to participate in significant amounts in interim political contests.
