Following the author's popular novel about a retiree's travels was transformed into a 2023 film, it included multiple beautiful songs by the folk musician. More recently, singer-songwriter Passenger provided the music and lyrics for Chichester Festival theatre's production, which will relocate to London's theatre district in winter. The musician's collection of song renditions, called One for the Road – featuring additional tracks that weren't included in the stage production and a guest appearance from Jack Wolfe, who acted as the musical narrator – is currently available to view digitally.
